U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Spencer Knudson, a Tube-Launched, Optically Tracked Wire-Guided (TOW) missile system gunner with Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, scans the environment during a Combined Anti-Armor Team patrol at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, Oct. 23. The Marines scouted possible avenues of approach and multiple shooting positions during the patrol. U.S. forces, as part of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve, are present at military bases inside of Iraq to train, advise and assist the Iraqi military to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
