The Marines conducted field exercises to improve upon their own skills and to build interoperability between NATO allies. Trident Juncture is the largest NATO exercise to take place within the past 10 years, with over 5,000 U.S. troops participating, along with more than 36,000 troops from more than 30 different nations.
