U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Daniel Bada, an operations specialist deployed with Maritime Civil Affairs Team 214, hands a student a packet of school supplies at the Nioumamilima Primary School during a dedication ceremony here in Nioumamilima on the East African island nation of Comoros, Nov. 23, 2009. The school supplies were provided by People to People International, a private sector, not-for-profit organization based in Kansas City, Mo. U.S. service members assigned to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa and representatives from the U.S. Embassy joined with The president of The Union of Comoros and local leaders to dedicate the newly renovated School. The approximately $250,000 renovation project was financed by CJTF-HOA and was the result of an ongoing relationship with The Comoros Ministry of Education and the local government.
