Sgt. 1st Class Steve Leach, a Connecticut National Guard Soldier deployed to Kosovo with 1st Battalion, 169th Aviation Regiment, teaches local teenagers to play pool during a Nov. 1, 2015, class visit to Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. The students are studying to take the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language exam, which Leach and fellow Multinational Battle Group-East Soldiers assist as volunteer instructors. The purpose of the TOEFL class is to prepare students to take the TOEFL exam, which will assess their ability to read, write and comprehend English at a university level.
