Chris Pappas addresses Marines, Sailors and Family members at the conclusion of the 240th Marine Corps birthday uniform pageant and cake cutting ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Nov. 5, 2015. The ceremony featured the historical lineage of the Marine Corps uniforms from 1775 to present day. The observance is held in remembrance of past generations of Marines and to honor Marines who are currently serving in the United States Marine Corps.
