Col. Andrew Gainey, commander, 17th Field Artillery Brigade, 7th Infantry Division, and Col Sophie Gainey, public affairs officer, I Corps, render honors during the playing of the national anthem as part of the 5th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade, deployment ceremony on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., Nov. 9, 2015. The battalion, which falls under the 17th FA Bde. while assigned to JBLM, will deploy approximately 100 Soldiers in support of U.S. Central Command conducting operations in Southwest Asia.
