Airman 1st Class Christian R. Jackson, combat convoy gunner stands ready with his M-4 Carbine and one of the many armor modified M-1083 Medium Tactical Vehicles that he has used for combat escort of supply convoys. Jackson and another team member are jointly credited with killing six of the insurgents attacking his convoy. His duties include operating the 50-caliber machine guns on HUMVEEs to M-1083 Medium Tactical Vehicles.
