PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 8, 2015) Dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Richard E. Byrd (T-AKE 4) (far left), Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2), Fleet replenishment oiler USNS Walter S Diehl (T-AO 193), and Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) conduct a multi-ship replenishment at sea. Rushmore is part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (15th MEU), is currently operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
