PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 10, 2015) Sailors and Marines launch amphibious assault vehicles (AAV) from the well deck of the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) off the coast of Malaysia. Rushmore is part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (15th MEU), is currently operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
