An Air Force C-17 Globemaster III taxis into position at Hunter Army Airfield, Nov. 11. On the jet are 26 Soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division, returning from a 12-month deployment to Afghanistan. The returning Soldiers are the last group of the command and control element, which has served for the last 12 months as the U.S. National Support Element in Afghanistan and assumed duties as the U.S. Forces Afghanistan Deputy Command Team for Support.
