FOB KALSU, Iraq--Capt. Kevin Lewis, task force engineer, 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, is congratulated by Lt. Col. James Howard, commander, 2-8 Inf., for winning the D-Day Ironman competition here Tuesday with teammate Capt. Alphonse Lemaire, S-2 fusion officer, 2-8 Inf. Soldiers from 2-8 Inf. held the competition as part of a day long commemoration of the battalion's World War II veterans, who were the first to storm the beaches of Normandy 62 years ago.
