PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 13, 2015) Amphibious assault vehicles (AAVs) from the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (15th MEU) return to Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) after completing a training exercise. Rushmore is part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (15th MEU), is currently operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
