Lt. Col. Jason Shelton, plans officer, I Corps, gets some hands-on learning on the use of some of the machinery used by Soldiers in the People’s Republic of China People’s Liberation Army during emergency and disaster relief efforts at the Disaster Management Exchange held at Joint Base Lewis-McChord Nov. 16-21, 2015. The DME is an opportunity to share humanitarian aid and disaster relief lessons learned from real-world events and hopes to improve U.S. and Chinese dialog for HA/DR events in the future.
