Clemson University Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets raise the American flag as U.S. Army Col. (retired) Ben Skardon, a survivor of the Bataan Death March and beloved Clemson alumnus, looks on, Nov. 21. 2015. The flag-raising happened before the game against Wake Forest, and after a ceremony dedicating the plaque at the base of the pole that honors Skardon for his service and sacrifice.
