151120-N-UF697-791 EAST CHINA SEA (Nov. 20, 2015) The People’s Liberation Army Navy Jiangkai II class guided-missile frigate Xuzhou (FFG 530) steams past the forward-deployed Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Stethem (DDG 63) after participating in a Code for Unplanned Encounters at Sea (CUES) and a search-and-rescue (SAR) exercise. Stethem visited Shanghai to build relationships with the PLA Navy and demonstrate the U.S. Navy’s commitment to the Indo-Asia-Pacific.
