    Army Reserve Aviation Command

    Four UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopters from Bravo Company, 8-229th Assault Helicopter Battalion (AHB) return to Godman Army Airfield Nov. 20 after conducting air assault training at Creek Air Strip on Fort Knox, Ky. The 8-229th AHB is a direct reporting unit to the 11th Theater Aviation Command. The 11th Theater Aviation Command (TAC) is the only aviation command in the Army Reserve. The 11th TAC has two missions, functioning as both a warfighting headquarters and as a functional command. As warfighting command, the 11th TAC provides command & control, staff planning, and supervision for two aviation brigades and one air traffic service battalion.
