151125-N-OA833-068 NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BAHRAIN (Nov. 25, 2015) Capt. Larry Getz speaks during a change of command ceremony onboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). During the ceremony, Getz relieved Capt. David L. Bossert, becoming the ship’s 16th commanding officer. Kearsarge is the flagship for the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
