A Japan Air Self-Defense Force maintainer stands atop a C-130 Hercules after the first successfully completed Japanese Operation Christmas Drop flight Dec. 8, 2015, at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. The humanitarian training mission will provide nearly 40,000 pounds of donated goods to 56 islands this year impacting about 20,000 people. In addition to delivering critical supplies to those in need, Operation Christmas Drop provides specific training to U.S. and allied aircrews, enabling theater-wide airpower.
