Members of the 183d Air Operations Group conduct simulated battle operations during exercise Virtual Flag, Dec. 2-10, 2015, in Springfield, Ill. The Air National Guard unit hosted the air operations center portion of this major combat exercise. The unit linked to multiple sites via the U.S. Air Force’s Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. Months of teamwork between the 183d Air Communications Squadron and the 612th Air Communications Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., culminated in the smooth delivery of DMOC’s simulation to multiple sites around the country. U.S. Air Force, Army, and Navy personnel conducted joint training scenarios while at the unit. More than 350 personnel participated nationwide. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Master Sgt.
