151220-N-AX638-353 ARABIAN GULF (Dec. 20, 2015) Marine Corps Cpl. Andrew Burgmuller (right), from New Castle, Del., and Staff Sgt. Jay Bullion, from Chicago, attached to the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) fire a .50-caliber machine gun during a live-fire exercise aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is the flagship for the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 26 MEU, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
