Staff Sgt. Lonnie Kemp, an environmental protection specialist at Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho, loads hazardous waste to be transported by to an authorized hazardous waste disposal facility in Chicago on Nov. 18, 2015. Hazardous waste is collected throughout the week at specific work centers on base or waste can be dropped off at the base central accumulation point at building 503 on Waste Drop Off Wednesdays from 12-2 p.m. The waste is stored onsite and shipped to the disposal facility typically every two to three months.
