Petty Officer 1st Class Wayne Sperko (right), a builder assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74, Charlie Company, explains to Secretary of the Navy, Honorable Ray Mabus, the progress of construction on the operations building at Camp Krutke during a camp tour, along with Cmdr. Bruce Nevel, NMCB 74's commanding officer. Mabus personally recognized many of the Seabees assigned to NMCB 74 for their role in the expansion of Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, and later stated in his holiday message to U.S. service members and their families. "It is your selfless service that allows the rest of America to enjoy the holidays. Less than one percent of Americans wear the uniform, and you guarantee freedom for the other 99 percent."
