Douglas Boone, platoon leader for 2nd Platoon, Troop C, 1st Squadron, 40th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, leads a routine convoy, Dec. 19, from Combat Outpost Wilderness to Combat Outpost Deysie in the Paktya province of eastern Afghanistan.
