The North Dakota National Guard hosted its first major engagement with its newest State Partnership Program (SPP) partners, the Republic of Benin and Togolese Republic in Bismarck, N.D., from May 2-8, 2015. Togolese representatives from left to right: Lt. Col. Tassounti Djato, Maj. Kassabalou Abamy, Mr. Mbalembou Pato, Minister Counselor of the Embassy of Togo; Ambassador Limbiye Bariki, Togo’s ambassador to the U.S.; Ron Halverson, course administrator, Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk, former adjutant general for the North Dakota National Guard; Col. Komlan Adjitowou, Deputy Chief of Defense Staff for Togo; Capt Atafei Macamanzi and Maj. Kankpa Kpandja. Through the SPP, a National Guard Bureau program, about 20 civilian and military dignitaries from Togo, Benin and the U.S. State Department participated in various activities in Bismarck, North Dakota.
