Gen. David G. Perkins, Commander U.S. Army Training and Doctorate Command, flips an Army Challenge coin to determine which team will receive the option to receive the ball first during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Jan. 9, in San Antonio, Texas. For 16 years, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has been the nation’s premier high school football game, bringing together many talented athletes that have gone on to successful college and professional careers, as well as a number of marching band members that have gone on to receive ROTC scholarships.
