DAHLGREN, Va. (Dec. 2, 2015) Kevin Streeff, an instrumentation engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), demonstrates how the 3D ScanArm scans objects and creates digital models for printing. A digital model of the scanned bust is shown on the computer screen during the command's December 2015 Print-A-Thon. The reality of 3D Printing - also known as additive manufacturing - is expanding across the Navy's science and engineering community via Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) and Combat Direction Systems Activity (CDSA) Dam Neck.
