Cpl. Brandon Riggle, a field artillery cannoneer with 2nd Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, looks into the sights of an M777A2 Howitzer in order to acquire the correct grid azimuth during a section chief’s course at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Jan. 14, 2016. The azimuth is adjusted to determine how far left or right the gun will face in order to impact the target. The monthlong course takes these artillery Marines from basic gunmen to section chiefs, whose job is to make sure the gun is operated correctly and safely. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
