Clemson University Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps cadet Alex Berg, 19, a sophomore studying industrial engineering from Lexington, S.C., bangs out as many situps as he can in two minutes during the Army Physical Fitness Test at Clemson University, Jan. 14, 2016. The APFT consists of pushups and situps (as many as you can do in two minutes, each) and completing a two-mile run in the shortest time possible. The Army standard for passing the APFT is 60 points in each of the three events for a total of 180 points. All ROTC scholarship cadets must achieve this standard each semester to retain their scholarship benefits. (U.S. Army Reserve photo by Staff Sgt. Ken Scar)
