A young Iraqi child, from an all girls Junior High School, and her mother speak with U.S. Army Capt. Jayne Strathe, from Des Moines, Iowa, attached to 1314th Civil Affairs Company, 17th Fires Brigade, during a field trip to a local amusement park during a joint foot patrol conducted by U.S. Soldiers attached to 17th Fires Brigade and Iraqi soldiers from the 14th Iraqi Army Division, in Al Ashar, Iraq, Dec. 9, 2009. The patrol was conducted to promote stability, and to assess the needs of the local populace.
