An A-10C Thunderbolt II from the 23rd Fighter Group fires bullets at a target during a training exercise, Jan. 26, 2016, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. The A-10C is armed with a 30 mm GAU-8/A seven-barrel Gatling gun, which can hold 1,174 bullets and fires at 3,900 rounds per minute, making it effective in attacking ground threats during close air support.
