The CMMTC trains more than 50 maritime security and defense students annually, including more than a dozen from other Caribbean and Central American nations. The visit took part during the 14th Caribbean Nations Security Conference (CANSEC XIV) hosted by the JDF and co-hosted by SOUTHCOM Jan. 27-29. More than 100 defense, public security and government leaders and experts from 18 nations attended the three-day event for talks on regional capacity and cooperation to counter regional threats.
