Marines with 2nd Platoon, Alpha Company, 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, radio in a CH-53E Super Stallion as part of their avalanche scenario at the Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, Calif., Jan. 20, 2016. Marines across II Marine Expeditionary Force and 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade took part in the scenario as part of Mountain Exercise 1-16 in preparation for Exercise Cold Response 16.1 in Norway this March. The exercise will feature military training including maritime, land and air operations that underscore NATO's ability to defend against any threat in any environment.
