Maj. Edward Jackson, a chaplain from Natchitoches, La., accepts his award for completing an 18-month “Chaplain Marriage and Family Life” course on Dec. 10, 2015, at the Family Life Chaplain Training Center. Jackson, along with six other chaplains, attended the course at Fort Hood while also attending Texas A&M University where they received a master’s degree in Family and Life Therapy. The course was designed to provide chaplains with additional education and skills to better help military families.
