TOKYO (Feb. 2, 2016) U.S. 7th Fleet staff members meet with staff from the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Command and Staff College where Vice Adm. Aucoin, U.S. 7th Fleet commander, delivered a speech about security, stability and prosperity in the Indo-Asia-Pacific. The JMSDF Command and Staff College equips senior officers with expertise in military education and research. Seventh Fleet is the U.S. Navy's largest numbered fleet and interacts with 35 other maritime nations to build partnerships that foster maritime security, promote stability, and prevent conflict.
