The participating countries’ ambassadors welcome all Cobra Gold 16 members to the exercise during the opening ceremony at Sattahip Naval Base, Thailand February 9, 2016. The exercise is the 35th iteration and is designed to advance regional security and ensure effective responses to regional crises by bringing together the partnering nations. During the next ten days partner nations will increase cooperation and collaboration amongst each other in order to achieve effective solutions to common challenges.
