Dr. Alex Vuving, a professor with the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, leads a breakout session during the Feb. 3 to 5 “Maritime Security Cooperation: Engagement through Education” workshop. Participants developed proposed learning modules for a future maritime security cooperation course for the Asia-Pacific region. The effort is a response to the U.S. government's increasing emphasis on building international cooperative capacity for shared maritime security.
