JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Jan. 26, 2016) – Hospitalman Kaleb Sherwood (left), from Naval Hospital (NH) Jacksonville, and Monica Gray, a nursing student, inventory surgical instruments prior to a scheduled surgical procedure. NH Jacksonville operates state-of-the-art operating suites at its hospital, and performs more than 5,000 surgeries each year. Celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year, NH Jacksonville's priority since its founding in 1941 is to heal the nation's heroes and their families. The command is comprised of the Navy's third largest hospital and five branch health clinics across Florida and Georgia.
