160127-N-YL073-263 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Jan. 27, 2016) Hull Maintenance Technician 2nd Class Dalton Leibhart, from Colorado Springs, Colorado, attached to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 4 embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) directs a Humvee onto the deck of a landing craft air cushion (LCAC). Kearsarge is the flagship for the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
