Piloting the MQ-1C Sky Warrior unmanned aircraft system, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Frank Volpe Jr., from Montville, Conn., a UAS technician and operator in Quick Reaction Capability 1 diligently monitors the aircraft's systems. Volpe was present for the launch of the aircraft, Jan. 11, and, after leaving for the evening, returned 24 hours later to land it.
