Pvt. Prince Mendoza, a tanker assigned to Company D, 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, rotates the turret in order to access the engine while conducting preventive maintenance on an M1A2 Abrams tank at the battalion's motor pool Feb. 16. The battalion gained Company D, a tank company, as part of the brigade's transformation to the Triangle Design. The brigade's transformation will be complete in March.
