U.S. Marines with the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade carry a notional Norwegian soldier casualty into a medical tent during combat casualty care training at Rena, Norway, Feb. 17, 2016. Through simulated mass casualty injuries, the Marines and sailors were able to conduct realistic casualty care on their Norwegian counterparts while also incorporating some of the host nation’s medical equipment. The two countries are coming together for Exercise Cold Response 16 in March, which combines the efforts of 12 NATO allies and partner nations to enhance joint crisis response capabilities in cold weather environments.
