EASTERN COAST OKINAWA (Feb. 15, 2016) – A close-in weapons system (CIWS) aboard amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) trains itself on an AV-8B Harrier during an operational test (OPTEST). Germantown is assigned to the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and is participating in amphibious integration training (AIT) and a certification exercise (CERTEX) with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).
