Seaman Jefferson Angcanan, culinary specialist, and Timothy Franklin, hospitalman, transfer food stores to feed the more than 700 civilians and Sailors aboard the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Comfort who are participating in Operation Unified Response. Comfort is deploying to conduct humanitarian and disaster relief operations after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake caused severe damage near Port-au-Prince, Jan. 12. Comfort brings the capability of one of the largest trauma facilities in the U.S., capable of providing a full spectrum of surgical and medical services.
