Sgt. Shelvin Jackson, Jr., a food service technician with Headquarters Support Company, United States Forces - Iraq, Camp Victory, Iraq, stood before more than 100 people to deliver Martin Luther King, Jr.'s 1963 "I have a dream" speech at the Al Faw Palace, Baghdad, Iraq, Jan. 18, and to share his own "dream." "Since I was about seven years old, I had the dream of speaking like Martin Luther King," said Jackson, who "counts heads" at the Sports Oasis dining facility. He said he loves history and poetry, and in December he volunteered to participate in the MLK, Jr. celebration, and feels it's his "place in life is to speak."
