First Lt. Philip Schweinsberg of Company C, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry, 1-2 Stryker Brigade and soldiers from the Royal Thai Army receive a block of instruction instructions during Cobra Gold 2016. Cobra Gold is a multinational exercise that provides a unique opportunity for partner nations to train together in order to increase cooperation and interoperability. The U.S. soldiers are currently deployed from Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington on the first leg of Pacific Pathways 16-1, the U.S. Army Pacific’s premier method to capitalize on multiple training opportunities in several countries with partner militaries over a three-to-four month period.
