Minnesota Army National Guard Soldiers and community members line the street near the National Guard Training and Community Center in Moorhead, Minn., as a funeral procession for Jason Moszer drives past Feb. 22, 2016. Moszer was a police officer for the city of Fargo, North Dakota, and a former Guardsman with the Minnesota National Guard’s Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Combined Arms Battalion, 136th Infantry Regiment, out of Moorhead. Moszer was killed while responding to a domestic disturbance when the suspect opened fire on Fargo police officers. Before joining Fargo’s police department six years ago, Moszer served as a combat medic for the 2-136 CAB for 8 years, deploying twice – first to Bosnia in 2003-04, then to Iraq in 2006-07. Following his funeral in Fargo, more than 600 vehicles from law enforcement agencies across the United States and Canada followed the hearse carrying Moszer on a 21-mile procession through the cities of Moorhead, Fargo and West Fargo, N.D.
