    22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit

    Col. Gareth F. Brandl, commanding officer, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, speaks via radio to Combat Logistics Battalion 22 commanding officer, Lt. Col. Gary Keim regarding a beach landing site near Padou, Haiti. Brandl came ashore to assess MEU relief operations near Leogane, Haiti, Jan. 20. The Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and embarked elements of the 22nd MEU arrived off the Haitian coast Monday to support relief efforts already underway. The 22nd MEU is a multi-mission force composed of approximately 2,000 Marines and Sailors.
