USS McFAUL, Arabian Gulf - USS McFaul (DDG 74) Commanding Officer, Cmdr. Mary Jackson, reads her orders to her new crew after accepting her new title from former McFaul commanding officer, Cmdr. Sean Connors, during their change of command ceremony here, June 21. McFaul is currently deployed with the USS Enterprise Carrier Strike Group as part of a routine rotation of U.S. maritime forces in support of Maritime Security Operations (MSO) in the region. MSO helps set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment, as well as complement the counterterrorism and security efforts of regional nations. MSO deny international terrorists use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons, or other material. Official U.S. Navy Photo by Journalist Third Class N.C.
