160223-N-VS214-067 PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 23, 2016) Culinary Specialist 1st Class Byron Green directs an incoming SH-60 Seahawk assigned to the “Wild Cards” of Helicopter Sea Combat (HSC) Squadron 23 from the helicopter control tower on board dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49). More than 4,500 Sailors and Marines from Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (13th MEU) are currently transiting the Pacific Ocean toward the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operations during a scheduled deployment.
