Nearly 60 Soldiers assigned to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., await the start of the Rapid Application Completion Exercise, a new program designed to accelerate the West Point application process for Soldiers, Feb. 24, 2016. The RACE consists of a Candidate Fitness Assessment test, medical screenings, ensuring all transcripts are requested and that all other required documents are completed by the chain of command, a process that can sometimes take Soldiers months to complete normally.
